Hong Kong businessman Isaac Yeung dies after fatal Tsim Sha Tsui bar attack
Isaac Yeung, a 32‑year‑old businessman and marketing consultant, was assaulted at the Cambridge House bar in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, in the early hours of 26 July 2026 after attending a friend's birthday celebration. He was punched and kicked, sustaining severe head trauma and fractured ribs, and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he underwent two brain operations. Yeung remained in intensive care for six days before dying at 02:54 am on 31 July 2026.
Police have reclassified the case as murder. Nine suspects aged between their mid‑20s and mid‑40s have been arrested on suspicion of wounding or assisting the attackers, and investigators are seeking two additional suspects identified as “Cho Hau” and “Wai Kin”. The investigation is being led by the West Kowloon Regional Crime Headquarters. Yeung was known for his consultancy work in the beauty and hospitality sectors, having helped transform more than 20 salons and generate revenue of about HK$200 million between 2024 and 2025. Tributes on social media described him as warm, optimistic and driven.
