Tsinghua University features extensive student dormitory facilities

Tsinghua University, located in northwest Beijing, is recognized as one of China’s most prestigious institutions. Beyond its academic reputation, the university is noted for its extensive campus and student living facilities.

The university features two primary dormitory areas: Zijing and the Nanxiao campus. The Zijing dormitory is a large-scale, modern complex covering approximately 28.4 hectares, consisting of buildings ranging from 7 to 15 stories equipped with elevators.

Living arrangements are tailored to student status. Undergraduate students typically reside in four-person rooms, while graduate and research students occupy rooms for two or three people. These accommodations include private bathrooms and balconies. A notable feature of the design is the inclusion of shared common rooms located between every two bedrooms, providing spaces for students to rest, socialize, or study together.
