Tsukishima Monja Kuya to open at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza

Tsukishima Monja Kuya is set to open a new location at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza on October 3, 2026. The restaurant, which has popular branches in Shibuya and Tokyo Station, will feature a “neo-retro” design concept blending nostalgic elements with modern aesthetics.

Specializing in monjayaki, the establishment uses fresh seafood sourced from a Toyosu Market wholesaler. A signature dish is the “Mentaiko Mochi Monja,” which utilizes a whole large mentaiko egg sac delivered directly from the founder’s family business. The restaurant offers an interactive dining experience where skilled staff prepare dishes on iron plates directly in front of customers.

The opening follows a pre-opening period scheduled from September 30 to October 2. This new branch joins Lazona Kawasaki Plaza as the shopping complex prepares for a major large-scale renovation planned between October 2026 and spring 2029.
