Tsukuba onigiri shop nodo launches new Ibaraki regional ingredient set
The onigiri specialty store nodo, located in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, has announced the launch of its new ‘Ibaraki Umaimon Set’ starting September 1, 2026. The menu is designed to showcase local regional ingredients.
Owned by Keiichi Saito, a chef with 20 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, the set includes Hitachi beef rice balls, Asakura pork ginger stir-fry, and various seasonal vegetables such as corn, lotus root, and Edosaki pumpkin. The meal is priced at 1,300 yen and utilizes locally grown Ibaraki rice. Additionally, the shop continues to offer seasonal shaved ice made with handmade syrups and condensed milk.
