Tsurumai Baseball Club wins first Nice Cup championship

Tsurumai Baseball Club secured its first championship at the 56th Akita Prefecture Elementary School Club Baseball Tournament, also known as the Nice Cup. The final match took place on August 15 at Sakigake Yatsuhashi Stadium in Akita City.

In a dramatic finish, Tsurumai faced Tennoide Victories Club. After Tennoide took a 2-run lead in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 8-6, Tsurumai responded in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on second and third and no outs, Komatsu delivered a walk-off hit to secure a 9-8 victory for Tsurumai.
