TSV 1880 Wasserburg basketball faces cup defeat and busy weekend

basketball DBBL-Pokal TSV 1880 Wasserburg Breast Cancer Awareness Month

TSV 1880 Wasserburg's women's basketball team suffered a 59:70 defeat against TS Jahn München in the second round of the DBBL Cup. Despite a strong start that saw Wasserburg lead 23:19 in the first quarter, the team was unable to maintain the advantage. The loss was compounded by significant personnel shortages, as the team played without Tess Santos, Nika Semykasheva, Lara Lieckfeld, and Vivi Langer due to injuries.

In addition to the competition, the match served as a platform for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the home team wearing pink jerseys to promote awareness and the importance of prevention.

Meanwhile, the TSV 1880 Wasserburg basketball club continues its weekend schedule with various youth and senior matches, including fixtures for the U12, U10, and U14 teams, as well as the Women's II team in the Bayernliga Süd.
