TSV Havelse match sets record low attendance for 3. Liga opener

The opening matchday of the 3. Liga has recorded its lowest attendance in history, excluding the pandemic-restricted 2020/21 season. The match between TSV Havelse and VfB Stuttgart II drew only 750 spectators.

Due to stadium requirements from the DFB, TSV Havelse was forced to play the match at the Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hannover rather than their home venue. This marks the first time in the 19-season history of the league that an opening matchday failed to reach 1,000 spectators.
