TSV Notfelle Niederrhein seeks foster homes for cats in Viersen district

The animal‑welfare association TSV Notfelle Niederrhein e.V. is caring for nearly 80 cats and kittens during the peak “kittens season” in the Kreis Viersen area. To continue rescuing stray, pregnant or injured cats, the group urgently needs additional foster homes that can provide at‑least a 7‑square‑metre, well‑lit room and reliable daily care.

Chairperson Tanja Kawaters explains that each foster placement is unpaid, with veterinary costs, vaccinations and medicines covered by the association. Volunteers must be reachable via WhatsApp, avoid planning vacations, and be prepared to transport animals to partner veterinarians. The foster period typically lasts six to twelve weeks, after which the cats are re‑homed permanently.
