TTM Technologies invests $400 million in China and Malaysia PCB plants
TTM Technologies is investing an additional $400 million to expand production capacity across five Asian facilities, including four sites in China and one in Penang, Malaysia. This capital injection supplements the $1.2 billion previously earmarked for the 2025–2029 period.
The expansion focuses on increasing the output of advanced N+M asymmetric printed circuit boards. These specialized components are critical for high-speed data transmission and power distribution in advanced computing systems, networking equipment, and AI-driven data center infrastructures.
According to CEO Edwin Roks, the surge in artificial intelligence is placing significant pressure on the hardware supply chain. By expanding existing facilities, the company aims to meet the growing demands of hyperscalers and networking hardware manufacturers more efficiently and reduce the time between investment and revenue generation.
