Tuba murder case adjourned to September 28

The Adabraka District Court has adjourned the murder case of 54-year-old car dealer Rahman Mohammed to September 28. The proceedings follow an incident on August 6, 2026, at Beach Drive Estate in Tuba, near Weija, where Mohammed and his wife, Christiana Fosu, were allegedly shot from behind with a pistol as they returned from an evening walk.

Mohammed was pronounced dead on arrival at Finney Hospital, while Fosu was referred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to her shoulder. Two brothers, Adams Adder Almeida and Bala Bilyon, are in custody. Almeida faces charges of murder, attempt to commit murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. Bilyon, an employee of the deceased, is also being held in connection with the incident.

Chief Inspector Apewah Achana informed the court that police are finalizing the docket to be forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office for legal advice. The court has not yet taken pleas from the accused.
