Tubi leads US free streaming market with 80 million monthly viewers
Fox Corporation’s ad‑supported platform Tubi is the most‑used free, FAST (free‑ad‑supported streaming television) service in broadband‑connected US homes, reaching about 80 million viewers each month, according to Parks Associates data. The Roku Channel follows with roughly 60 million monthly users and Paramount’s Pluto TV with nearly 50 million. Analysts say FAST services have become a central part of the streaming landscape, driven by broad content libraries, wide distribution and a frictionless user experience.
Tubi’s growth helps Fox generate roughly $2.2 billion in total ad revenue, with the service contributing a significant share. The platform also offers over 260 live‑TV channels, including extensive sports coverage such as NFL, NBA, UFC, NHL and a dedicated FIFA World Cup hub. While Tubi is available for free in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, it is geo‑blocked elsewhere. Viewers abroad can use VPN services—such as NordVPN—to obtain an IP address from an eligible country and access the full library.
The service is accessible on a wide range of devices, from smart TVs and streaming sticks to mobile phones and gaming consoles, cementing its role as a major player in the free streaming arena.
