A central component of Carlson's current stance involves a sharp critique of U.S. involvement with Israel, advocating for a break from Zionist state interests and a reduction in military funding. He has also expressed disagreement with Donald Trump, accusing the administration of betraying "America First" promises, particularly regarding conflicts involving Iran.

While Carlson has met with other former Trump supporters, including Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, and Joe Kent, he has repeatedly denied plans to run for president, stating he has no interest in holding office but seeks to offer a political alternative.
