Green Bay Packers activate tight end Tucker Kraft

The Green Bay Packers have activated 25‑year‑old tight end Tucker Kraft from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list ahead of practice at training camp. Kraft underwent surgery in November to repair a torn right ACL and is about 8½ months post‑operation, just short of the team’s typical nine‑month return window.

Coach Matt LaFleur said Kraft will participate in individual walk‑throughs and evening drills but will not take part in full‑team (no‑team) drills as the club proceeds cautiously. General manager Brian Gutekunst noted the science behind the nine‑month rule and stressed the importance of getting Kraft back to full health for the season opener. Kraft, a 2023 second‑round pick, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is in talks for a long‑term extension.
