Tucker Kraft seeks to regain form following ACL injury

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is working to regain his previous performance levels following a torn ACL last season. Despite scoring a touchdown in a recent 17-14 victory over Tampa Bay, Kraft has struggled with uncharacteristic drops and a decrease in yardage per reception.

Kraft is currently averaging 9.9 yards per catch, a significant drop from his career average of 13.7. He attributed his recent struggles to attempting to do too much on the field, stating, “I’m taking my eyes off the ball. You can’t do anything without the ball, so I’m going to slow down and play my role.”

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur noted that players returning from major injuries often require time to shake off the rust, despite the pressure for instant gratification. Kraft, who signed a four-year, $75 million contract extension prior to the season, has recorded 15 receptions for 148 yards and one touchdown through four games.
