Tucuman homicide investigation after 64-year-old woman found dead
Authorities in Tucumán are investigating an alleged aggravated homicide after a 64‑year‑old woman was found dead in a residence on Calle España. A 61‑year‑old man, identified as a relative, was discovered alive with vital signs and taken to Hospital Padilla. The investigation began when the suspect sent a WhatsApp audio to a family member claiming he had "committed a mistake" by killing his sister and intended to hang himself. Police responded, secured the scene, and the case has been classified as a presumptive homicide aggravated by the familial link.
The Provincial Fiscal Office, led by auxiliary fiscal Luis Macedo and fiscal Pedro Gallo, ordered forensic and homicide division involvement. The scientific investigation team (ECIF) is conducting further examinations to determine the exact circumstances of the killing.
