Tucumán advances hydrographic cartography with IGN
Tucumán has entered into a complementary agreement with the National Geographic Institute (IGN) to advance the generation of geospatial information regarding the province's hydrographic network. This initiative, part of the National-Federal Hydrographic Project, aims to improve the precision and quality of official cartography by representing the distribution of surface water resources across the territory.
Through technical assistance from the IGN, provincial teams will strengthen their capacity to process and adjust hydrographic information at a 1:100,000 scale. This collaboration seeks to consolidate standardized official cartography to support territorial planning and resource management.
