Tucumán celebrates religious festivities for Virgen de la Merced

Tucumán is holding religious celebrations in honor of the Virgen de la Merced. The schedule includes the vesting of the Virgin, the arrival of the misachicos, and the final day of the novena.

On the 24th, festivities will begin at midnight with a tribute from gauchos. A central religious ceremony for the Armed Forces and Security Forces is scheduled for 11:00 AM. Other planned events include an act for the Battle of Tucumán at Plaza General Manuel Belgrano, a procession at 5:00 PM, and a final mass for pilgrims at the Basilica at 10:00 PM.
