Tucumán Civil Registry Renovation Passes 50% Completion

The renovation and expansion of the Registro Civil in Tucumán, Argentina, has surpassed the halfway mark. The project, driven by Governor Osvaldo Jaldo’s infrastructure plan and executed by the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport under Minister Marcelo Nazur, aims to modernize public services and restore a historic provincial building.

Key milestones include the completion of the new building’s roof, 90% of masonry work finished, and plastering at 85% on the ground floor and 70% on the upper floor. Restoration of historic columns in the heritage area is complete, and the installation of aluminum openings in the light courts is upcoming. Officials highlighted job creation during construction and the expected improvement in service quality for Tucumán residents.

The work was overseen by Minister Nazur, Minister of Government and Justice Regino Amado, Registro Civil director Carolina Bidegorry, Secretary of Public Works Jorge Chrestia, DAU director Beatriz Monasterio, and provincial road authority administrator Pablo Díaz.
