Tucumán expands knowledge economy and industrial support

Tucumán is positioning itself as a regional leader in the knowledge economy, ranking first in the Northwest Argentina (NOA) region and fifth nationally. During the third Expocon conference, Economy and Production Minister Daniel Abad highlighted that the sector is diversifying the province's productive matrix by leveraging local talent in technology and knowledge-based services.

Currently, the knowledge economy in Argentina generates approximately $10 billion in exports. In Tucumán, the sector supports nearly 3,000 direct jobs, a figure expected to rise through remote work and further technological development.

To bolster the broader industrial sector, Minister Abad announced a legislative proposal to create private industrial parks offering tax benefits to developers and companies. Additionally, the government is working with the Federal Investment Council (CFI) to establish a guarantee fund designed to provide businesses with access to preferential credit rates, aiming to improve cash flow for local entrepreneurs.
