Buenos Aires declares agricultural emergency in 9 de Julio and Necochea

The Buenos Aires provincial government has declared an agricultural emergency and disaster in the 9 de Julio district and several areas of Necochea due to significant crop losses caused by flooding. The measure, effective from May 1 to October 31, 2026, provides tax relief, including proportional exemptions from the Rural Real Estate Tax based on the level of damage, and access to special credit lines through Banco Provincia.

In Tierra del Fuego, the Banco de Tierra del Fuego (BTF) is implementing credit assistance programs to help families manage rising debt and delinquency rates. The bank is prioritizing sectors with the greatest financial difficulty, offering tailored refinancing strategies to alleviate household debt and restore consumption capacity.

Additionally, a provincial voluntary retirement program for state employees has seen over 1,400 applications. The scheme allows permanent staff with at least 10 years of contributions to receive a monthly income—at least 50% of their salary—until they meet standard retirement requirements. The deadline for joining this program is December 31, 2026.
