Tucumán father seeks legal aid to regain contact with daughter

Jesús Sánchez, a resident of Tucumán, Argentina, is seeking legal assistance to restore contact with his one-year-old daughter. Sánchez reports that he has not seen the child since February following his separation from the mother.

Sánchez stated that his previous lawyer had to stop intervening due to health issues, leaving his case before the Juzgado de Familia y Sucesiones N.º 2 without representation. He expressed a desire to resolve the matter strictly through judicial channels, stating, “I don't ask for anything more than to see my daughter. I want to go everything through the legal route and do things right.”

The father noted that his current economic situation prevents him from hiring private counsel. Additionally, he claimed he faces a restriction preventing him from entering official public defender offices until 2028 due to a prior conflict, though he did not provide documentation to verify the nature or scope of this restriction. He has sought help through the free legal clinic of the Colegio de Abogados.
