Tucumán hosts 2nd Bioethanol Summit to discuss energy transition

The 2nd Bioethanol Summit, titled ‘Impulsing the future of bioethanol in Argentina’, was held in Tucumán to discuss the sector's role in national energy, economic, and environmental development. The event brought together national and provincial authorities, legislators, and representatives from the sucroalcohol industry.

A central point of debate was the proposal to increase the mandatory ethanol blend in gasoline. The summit aims to consolidate bioethanol's role in the national energy matrix, promote regional cooperation, and advocate for a regulatory framework that provides legal certainty for biofuel production.

Participants included regional governors, national officials, and international experts who presented advancements in technology, sustainable mobility, and the energy transition.
