Tucumán hosts International Drone Congress 2026
The International Drone Congress 2026 (CID2026) was held in Tucumán, Argentina, bringing together researchers, companies, and public agencies to discuss the current state and future of aerial technology.
Representatives from INTA (National Agricultural Technology Institute) presented research on precision agriculture, focusing on maximizing application efficiency and understanding how formulation characteristics and environmental conditions affect biological results. Discussions also covered the potential of drones in fruit growing for crop monitoring and spatial data collection.
Additionally, the RIDES (Information Network for Productive Development) network, part of Tucumán’s Secretariat of State for Production, participated in technical sessions regarding environmental management and geotechnologies. Presentations addressed the use of drones for territorial analysis, 3D modeling, forest conservation, and the modernization of mining cadastre through geospatial tools.
