Tucumán hosts 32nd Rally Trasmontaña mountain bike event

The 32nd edition of the Rally Trasmontaña mountain bike competition is taking place in Tucumán, Argentina, featuring a redesigned 41-kilometer course. The event includes nearly nine kilometers of previously unused, technical terrain to balance physical demands and offer new scenery for the participants.

Beyond the main mountain bike race, the weekend includes the inaugural Trasmontaña Trail Running event in San Javier, with 15 and 30-kilometer distances across 18 categories. Additionally, the Expo Bici Club will serve as a logistical hub, offering equipment and accessories.

A notable trend in this year's competition is the significant growth of the E-Bike category. While only eight participants competed in this modality in 2019, current estimates suggest between 120 and 200 riders will participate, with two categories competing for the Argentine national title.
