Tucumán launches flu vaccination drive on Peatonal Muñecas

The Tucumán Ministry of Public Health, headed by Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz and operating under Governor Osvaldo Jaldo, organized a free influenza vaccination session on Saturday from 09:00 to 12:30 at the Peatonal Muñecas intersection (Muñecas and Mendoza streets) in San Miguel de Tucumán. The campaign, part of the national vaccination calendar, is open to the entire population but emphasizes seniors over 65, pregnant women, people with chronic illnesses, children aged 6‑24 months, and pregnant women between 32‑36 weeks who can also receive a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine to protect newborns. Officials say the initiative reinforces state protection of vulnerable groups and aims to lower the risk of severe respiratory illnesses during the peak viral season.
