Tucumán officials honor Juan Bautista Alberdi's 216th anniversary

Tucumán Governor Osvaldo Jaldo led a commemorative ceremony to mark the 216th anniversary of the birth of Juan Bautista Alberdi. Alberdi was a prominent jurist, politician, and intellectual from Tucumán, recognized as a fundamental figure in Argentina's political and institutional history.

During the event held at the Casa de Gobierno, provincial authorities placed the ‘Palma de Pueblo y Gobierno de Tucumán’ at the monument containing Alberdi's remains. The ceremony served as an official recognition of his contributions to the construction of the Argentine nation. State Attorney Gilda Pedicone de Valls emphasized the importance of honoring Alberdi's legacy and revitalizing the memorial space.
