Tucumán officials host educational initiatives on bullying and mediation

Provincial authorities in Tucumán, Argentina, recently held two major educational initiatives focused on social development and conflict prevention among students.

The third edition of the provincial educational short film contest, ‘Un Corto para la Historia’, focused on the theme of bullying and cyberbullying. More than 100 educational institutions participated with 75 audiovisual productions. The initiative aims to use film as a tool for awareness and prevention, aligning with Provincial Law No. 9.928. As part of the program, teachers who guided students in these projects will receive professional credit.

Additionally, the III Provincial Parliament of Children Mediators, titled ‘Constructores de la Paz’, was held at the Legislative Palace. The event involved 160 primary school students and focused on developing socio-emotional skills through parliamentary sessions and educational activities. School mediation has been active in Tucumán since 2016 and currently operates through 660 School Mediation Centers to promote a culture of peace and democratic debate.
