Tucumán patient airlifted to Buenos Aires for liver transplant evaluation
A 55-year-old patient from Hospital Padilla in Tucumán was medically evacuated via air to the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires on Friday. The transfer was organized to facilitate high-complexity medical studies required for a liver transplant evaluation and subsequent procedure.
Dr. Patricia Villagra, Director of Sanitary Transfers, reported that while the patient was in fair to poor general condition, she remained stable during the flight. The medical team provided continuous monitoring, oxygen via nasal cannula, and hydration through a central line. The operation was coordinated by the Ministry of Public Health as part of provincial health policies to ensure access to specialized care.
