Tucumán police arrest Roberto Fuentes in murder of Cinthia Lazarte

Police in Tucumán Province detained 39‑year‑old Roberto Fuentes, who is accused of murdering 41‑year‑old Cinthia Verónica Lazarte, a mother of four, after she was found dead inside a burnt Fiat Palio on Francia Street. Lazarte was discovered semi‑nude, with a cable tied around her neck, and the cause of death is being investigated as a possible femicide.

The arrest followed analysis of neighbourhood security‑camera footage that appeared to show a man inside the vehicle before the fire started. Investigators seized the suspect’s mobile phones, clothing, a wallet and other items, and are reviewing the video to determine whether the fire was set to destroy evidence. The case is being handled by the provincial homicide division and the forensic office, with further forensic examinations pending.
