Tucumán political landscape shifts ahead of 2027 elections

Political movements are intensifying in Tucumán ahead of the 2027 elections. In San Miguel de Tucumán, the Party Council of the Justicialist Party (PJ) met to unanimously ratify its support for the Osvaldo Jaldo and Miguel Acevedo formula for the provincial elections scheduled for May 9, 2027. The meeting focused on territorial organization and maintaining movement unity.

In the municipality of Concepción, strategic discussions are underway regarding the 2027 electoral landscape. Former allies Alejandro Molinuevo and Roberto Sánchez are both expressing individual intentions to lead ballots. While their relationship shifted after Molinuevo joined La Libertad Avanza, Molinuevo has acknowledged the need for informal dialogue to form a competitive option and avoid fragmentation that could benefit the Peronist movement. This follows the 2023 provincial elections where Peronist factions combined for a significant vote count against the Molinuevo-led list.
