Tucumán raises VTV fees for cars, motorcycles and trucks
Effective 5 August, the Transport Directorate of Tucumán Province implemented a new tariff schedule for the Verificación Técnica Vehicular (VTV). Prices increased to cover higher operating costs after the rates had been frozen since December.
The new fees are: motorcycles up to 150 cc – AR$22,000; 151‑300 cc – AR$27,000; over 300 cc – AR$42,000; private cars – AR$60,000; private trucks, utility vehicles and vans – AR$90,000; passenger buses, minibuses and combis – AR$110,000; cargo trucks, trailers and semitrailers – AR$165,000; taxis and rural vehicles – AR$40,000. All amounts include VAT. Despite the rise, Tucumán remains among the Argentine provinces with the lowest VTV costs.
