Tucumán reports increase in influenza-type disease notifications

The Ministry of Public Health of Tucumán has reported an increase in influenza-type disease notifications within the province. Health authorities are maintaining permanent epidemiological surveillance to monitor respiratory diseases, preventable pathologies, and arboviruses.

Regarding arboviruses, officials noted that while there are no confirmed chikungunya cases in the country for the current season, regional alerts remain in place. Nationally, there have been 352 suspected dengue cases, including two confirmed cases of the DENV-3 serotype in Buenos Aires province involving residents with travel history to Brazil. Authorities are emphasizing preventive measures ahead of rising temperatures and rainfall, which facilitate mosquito proliferation.
