Tucumán selected for federal integrated health networks

Tucumán has been selected to join the federal node of Integrated Health Networks, an initiative aimed at strengthening coordination between different levels of healthcare and creating a person-centered system. The province presented its experience with the Provincial Maternal-Fetal Medicine Network during a workshop organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Buenos Aires.

Dr. Cristina Majul, the Undersecretary of Health, emphasized that the goal is to ensure patients receive continuous follow-up throughout their journey in the healthcare system. The initiative focuses on the role of Primary Health Care as the essential entry point to manage referrals to higher-complexity hospitals.
