Tufan Erçurman commemorates 1964 Kokkina bombings

Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erçurman attended commemorations in Kokkina to mark the 62nd anniversary of the 1964 Turkish bombings in the Tillyria region.

Erçurman emphasized the responsibility of current generations to build a peaceful and secure future for children while remembering the hardships of the past. He described the "resistance of the Kokkina" as a critical turning point in the struggle for the existence of the Turkish Cypriot people. He called for finding common ground across political ideologies to ensure that future generations do not experience wars or conflicts on these lands.
