Monas hosts 2026 Palestine Solidarity Month opening

The Aqsa Working Group (AWG) officially opened the 2026 Palestine Solidarity Month (BSP) at the National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta on November 1, 2026. The event, now in its sixth year, featured a large-scale humanitarian volunteer rally involving rescue teams, medical personnel, journalists, construction workers, and social activists.

Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulfattah AK Al-Sattari, attended the ceremony and expressed gratitude for the massive Indonesian support. He emphasized that the resistance for Palestinian independence and the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque remains a central cause. The event included the raising of large Indonesian and Palestinian flags via paramotors and the display of a colossal 50 by 9 meter flag.

BSP 2026 is themed “Strengthening the Role of Global Advocacy towards the Liberation of Al-Aqsa and Palestinian Independence.” Organizers stated the initiative aims to maintain public awareness and commitment to Palestinian rights as a matter of humanitarian principle and constitutional mandate.
