Tui hosts the XXXI Festival de Bandas de Música

The XXXI Festival de Bandas de Música will take place this Friday, August 21, at the El Paseo Fluvial in Tui. The event is a traditional part of the local summer cultural programming.

The festival will feature performances by the Banda de Música de Salcedo and the host organization, the Banda de Música Popular de Tui. Both groups are scheduled to perform a street parade through various points in the city prior to the main concert, which begins at 21:00.

The Banda de Música de Salcedo, currently directed by Alfredo Sánchez Seara, will perform a program including works such as ‘Bagaxes’, ‘Danzas Armenias’, and ‘Troll Dance’. The Banda de Música Popular de Tui, directed by Eloy Carrera Bernárdez, is also participating in the event.
