TUI River Cruises launches first purpose-built ship TUI Luzia

TUI River Cruises floated out its inaugural purpose‑built vessel, TUI Luzia, at the Concordia Damen‑partner Kladovo Shipyard in Serbia. The float‑out marks a key construction milestone ahead of the ship’s scheduled delivery in June 2027.

The 111‑passenger, 56‑cabin ship will begin its inaugural season sailing the Douro River in Portugal, offering a seven‑night “Douro Discovery” itinerary from Porto. Amenities include four decks with a shallow pool, several bars and restaurants, and a Full Board Plus meal programme. Prices start at £1,859 per person, flight included. Head of River Cruises Katy Berzins said the float‑out “marks another significant milestone for TUI River Cruises and our longstanding partnership with Concordia Damen.”
