TUI shares rise above €7 as investors assess mixed short‑seller moves

The German tourism group TUI AG saw its shares climb to roughly €7.10‑€7.13 on 27 July 2026, staying well above the previous week’s level and posting a daily gain of about 1.1 %. The rebound follows strong 2025 results, with revenue of €24.18 bn, pre‑tax profit of €1.03 bn and a net profit of €636 m, and the reinstatement of a €0.10 dividend per share.

At the same time, the stock remains a focus for short sellers. Within the BlackRock group, BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. reduced its net short position from 1.29 % to 1.19 % on 24 July, while BlackRock Advisors, LLC increased its short exposure from 0.70 % to 0.80 %. Other major short sellers include Capital Fund Management SA (2.05 % net short), D. E. Shaw & Co., L.P. (2.00 %) and Marshall Wace LLP (1.79 %). The mixed signals highlight divergent views on the stock’s future despite its recent price gains and improved fundamentals.
