Tula de Allende mayor faces investigation over missed report deadline

Officials in Tula de Allende, Hidalgo, have requested an investigation into the municipal mayor for failing to meet the constitutional deadline for the annual public administration report. Members of the city council, including the legal syndic and several regidores, noted that the report was not submitted by the September 5 deadline mandated by the State Constitution and the Municipal Organic Law.

The council members pointed out that an extraordinary session to organize the report was only held on September 6, after the legal deadline had passed. They have called upon the Comptroller, the local Congress, and the Internal Control Body to determine if there are administrative responsibilities. The investigation will seek to establish whether the mayor provided timely evidence of force majeure to justify the delay or if the decision to change the date was made after the deadline expired.
