Tulancingo implements security, indigenous rights, and economic initiatives

Tulancingo is implementing several municipal initiatives focused on security, social rights, and economic development. The local government has strengthened its security strategy through the Mando Coordinado, incorporating technology such as 1,100 monitored cameras, drones, and new police equipment. These efforts have resulted in numerous arrests and the recovery of stolen vehicles.

On September 18, the city will host the Regional Dialogue Forum on Indigenous Matters. Organized by the Hidalgo State Electoral Institute (IEEH) and the municipal government, the forum aims to ensure the political-electoral rights of indigenous communities are respected ahead of the 2026-2027 electoral process.

Additionally, the municipality is launching the Paseo Artesanal de Tulancingo. This 2-million-peso project provides a dedicated space for local artisans and entrepreneurs to sell their goods, specifically prohibiting the resale of Asian-made merchandise to protect local talent. Revenue from the space will support social welfare programs through the Municipal DIF.
