Tulane football coach to name starting quarterback Monday

Tulane Head Coach Will Hall has announced that the team's starting quarterback will be named on Monday, August 24. The decision follows the final fall scrimmage, where junior redshirt Kadin Semonza and transfer senior Zeon Chriss-Gremillion competed for the position.

During the scrimmage, both quarterbacks received 22 snaps. Semonza led offensive drives that resulted in two field goals, while Chriss-Gremillion participated in an 11-play drive that also led to a field goal. The coaching staff will evaluate these performances to determine the starter for the September 5 game against Duke in North Carolina.

Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Hall expressed optimism regarding the development of young players and emphasized a team identity built on being explosive, fundamentally sound, and disciplined. He also highlighted the importance of home-field advantage at Yulman Stadium.
