Tullio Solenghi to open Poggibonsi theater season

Actor Tullio Solenghi will open the new theatrical season at the Politeama di Poggibonsi on Wednesday, October 28. He will perform “Colpi di Timone,” a comedy by Vincenzo La Rosa that serves as a tribute to the work of Genoese actor Gilberto Govi.

Solenghi, acting as both director and protagonist, portrays the character Giovanni Bevilacqua. The production is part of an ongoing effort to recover and disseminate Govi’s theatrical legacy, conducted in collaboration with the Teatro Sociale di Camogli. The play is described as an exploration of truth and hypocrisy.

The production features Mauro Pirovano as co-protagonist, supported by an ensemble cast. Scenography is designed by Davide Livermore, director of the Teatro Nazionale di Genova. The project is produced by the Teatro Nazionale di Genova in partnership with the Teatro Sociale di Camogli and the Associazione Culturale Gli Scarti.
