Tuluá rural communities face four-day power outage

In the rural areas of Tuluá, Valle del Cauca, more than 60 families across the sectors of El Retiro, Guayabitos, Alejandría, and Naranjal have been without electricity for four consecutive days. The outage, reportedly caused by a technical failure in a transformer, has disrupted the local economy by preventing the refrigeration of dairy products, meat, and essential food supplies.

Residents have notified the operator, Celsia, regarding the situation. The lack of power also threatens the preservation of certain medications that require a cold chain, impacting the health and livelihoods of the local farming community.
