Tulum International Airport seeks to expand air connectivity

Quintana Roo Tourism Secretary Bernardo Cueto Riestra met with Marcos Martínez Amparán, administrator of the Felipe Carrillo Puerto Tulum International Airport, to discuss strengthening air connectivity and tourism development.

The airport, which has a capacity of 5.5 million passengers annually, serves as a strategic infrastructure point for southern Quintana Roo. Officials are looking to expand routes for the 2026-2027 winter season, targeting domestic and international markets including Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Specific target cities include Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Quebec, New York, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Houston, and Mexico City.
