Tulum Nightclub Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Gunmen opened fire on two employees standing outside a nightclub on Beta Sur, between Andrómeda and Avenida Tulum, in the early hours of Monday. One man, identified as the venue's head of security, was killed at the scene. A waitress was hit in the leg, fled on her own and was taken to Hospital Tulum, later transferred to Hospital General in Playa del Carmen for further treatment.

Municipal police, state investigators and forensic experts secured the area and began evidence collection. The State Attorney General’s Office has opened a homicide investigation, but no arrests have been reported and no motive has been disclosed.
