Tulungagung authorities remove unlicensed fiber optic infrastructure

Authorities in Tulungagung, East Java, have conducted an enforcement operation against unlicensed fiber optic infrastructure. A joint task force comprising Satpol PP and the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department (Dinas PUPR) removed four fiber optic poles and cut illegal cabling in the Kedungwaru and Gondang districts.

Sistyo Dwi Santoso, a civil servant investigator for Satpol PP Tulungagung, stated that the action was taken after internet service providers failed to comply with previous warnings to secure necessary permits. The operation specifically targeted installations in Rejoagung Village (Kedungwaru District) and Kiping Village (Gondang District).

The seized poles and cables have been moved to the Satpol PP Tulungagung office as evidence. Officials noted that no service providers have contacted them to provide legal documentation or claim the confiscated items. Authorities indicated that enforcement will continue in stages to ensure all telecommunications infrastructure adheres to official regulations.
