Tumaco provides agricultural supplies to San Agustín indigenous community

In Tumaco, local authorities have completed a second delivery of agricultural supplies and tools to the San Agustín indigenous community. This initiative is part of the fulfillment of Auto 620 and established precautionary measures for the community.

The delivery included 5,000 cacao seedlings, 1,000 plantain suckers, and various farming tools. According to Agriculture Secretary Luis Preciado, 20 families received these resources to improve production processes and create new economic opportunities for their households.

In addition to the physical supplies, a training strategy was implemented through a partnership between the Secretariat of Women, Equity and Gender and SENA. Members of the San Agustín community completed specialized training in cacao grafting to enhance crop management, yield, and commercialization potential.
