Tumbbad 2 production resumes with Alia Bhatt and Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Production has resumed for the folk horror sequel Tumbbad 2, with cast members Alia Bhatt and Nawazuddin Siddiqui joining Sohum Shah. The film follows the 2018 original and aims to expand the established mythology.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has returned to filming in Satara following an international stage tour in the United States. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has been spotted on set, marking her first major project in the horror genre. The production includes sequences set near a river and an old fort, and the team has reportedly constructed a massive 7-8 acre set in Mumbai designed to resemble a city.
