TUMO raises $17 million to expand education in Armenia

TUMO, an Armenian-founded educational organization, raised over $17 million during a gala in Los Angeles celebrating its 15th anniversary. The funds are intended to support the program’s expansion across Armenia.

Founded in Yerevan in 2011, TUMO provides free technology and design education to teenagers. The organization has grown from a single center into an international network serving more than 35,000 students across approximately 14 to 15 countries.

The event honored several leaders, including ServiceTitan co-founders Vahe Kuzoyan and Ara Mahdessian, and NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian. Lebaredian has been instrumental in the development of Firebird, Armenia’s first high-performance artificial intelligence computing cluster.

Additionally, the gala featured a visual installation by People of Ar, which utilized TUMO students’ work from a 3D scanning program. This initiative aims to digitally document and preserve Armenian monasteries and cultural sites located in territories that have come under Azerbaijani control following recent conflicts.
