Tuncel Kurtiz commemorated on 13th anniversary of death

A ceremony was held in the Çamlıbel neighborhood of Edremit, Balıkesir, to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the death of Tuncel Kurtiz. The actor, screenwriter, director, producer, and voice artist was honored at his grave located at the foothills of the Kaz Mountains.

Organized by the Edremit Municipality, the event brought together fans and local officials to reflect on Kurtiz’s legacy in Turkish cinema and theater, as well as his deep connection to the Kaz Mountains and the Edremit region. Edremit Mayor Mehmet Ertaş noted that Kurtiz was remembered not only for his artistic contributions but also for his love of nature and his free-spirited lifestyle. Following his wishes, Kurtiz was buried in Çamlıbel after passing away in 2013 at the age of 77.
